power to the palace

Radio silence for nearly 3 months. But we're back.

And looking forward to May, oh yes...

From second from bottom in November, Palace make the playoffs with a 5-0 thumping of the hapless Burnley. It'll be the 6th time in 19 years that we've been in the playoffs. Never a dull moment, it's days like these that remind you why supporting the Palace is such a joy.

And I've got tickets to see Bruce Springsteen on consecutive nights at the end of the month.

And, of course, we're having a baby.

springtime in amsterdam

A weekend away to revisit the scene of my triumphant marathon run in 2004. This time we didn't eat in the same restaurant 3 times running.

i wanna marry you

A side effect of having a wife that can't drink, is that, come weddings, you have to drink for two. Hence the camera doesn't come out much, hence these are the only photos we have of recent weddings.

middle east

Christmas holidays in the sunshine. All the usual suspects - arguments with the hotel front desk, moving rooms, pretentious photos et al.

Plus, undoubted highlight of the holiday was discovering Palace live on tv. More's the pity that we didn't discover this till the second half, instead wasting time kicking leaves on the beach. Anyway, watch out for reprise of a classic RGJOM photo beneath..

the rangers had a homecoming in harlem late last night

Alarmingly, I've become the sort of w**ker that stands at concerts and takes photos on his mobile phone throughout proceedings.

The votes are in for album of the year again this year and, for the second year in a row, Bruce Springsteen walks away with the main prize for Magic. Honourable mentions for Radiohead, The National, Hold Steady and Orchestra Babaob.

Concert of the year, well though The Hold Steady ran it close, again Bruce Springsteen at the O2 steals the prize. Roll on May..

Happy holidays..

more baby nonsense

The morning after the office Christmas party, it was off to the hospital to visit the baby. Apart from the fact that the photos beneath seem to suggest it has 3 feet, all appeared fine and dandy.

waiting for a sunny day

So, once again, it's merry christmas you arseholes, you cheap lousy faggots..

We left it late for this years goofball christmas card idea. With better suggestions refusing to emerge, it was off to Twickenham for the morning to take the stadium tour.

As is now a christmas tradition, here are the full photoshoot highlights...
